Summary

Organizational analysis of Junior Achievement of Greater Miami against the financial products now marketed to Gen Z, with a proposed curriculum partner, Apex Solutions.

Junior Achievement of Greater Miami reaches students from kindergarten through twelfth grade with budgeting, saving, basic credit and career exploration. The paper argues that this foundation, while real, has not kept pace with what now targets teenagers: sports betting, prediction markets marketed like investing products, and credit offers pitched around bonus points and “won’t affect your credit score” preapprovals.

The analysis compares what JA teaches with what the research on behavioral change says works, then proposes Apex Solutions: a research-based curriculum partner that adds experiential, behaviorally focused content on modern financial products to the infrastructure organizations like JA already have. Apex is positioned as a complement to JA, not a replacement. The proposal lays out a twelve-module curriculum, offered either through partner organizations or delivered directly by Apex facilitators.
