I’m James Gulli, originally from Hockessin, Delaware. I started Gulli Lawn at 12, during the COVID-19 pandemic. What began as mowing a few neighbors’ yards grew into a full-service lawn and landscape business with 30+ recurring weekly mowing accounts, 150+ landscaping jobs, and a small team of part- and full-time employees that I built and managed. I ran it through high school and sold it in 2024.

Now I’m in Miami, studying finance at the University of Miami Business School with minors in marketing and AI for business technology. I founded Clay James Group, which helps owner-operated businesses get organized with AI, get customers through sales and marketing, and get paid through invoicing and accounting. I also build tools that teach finance: FinanceVocab.com, a reference of 212 accounting and corporate finance terms; learnDCF, a free course on discounted cash flow valuation, launching Q1 2027; and Derivative Education, a site for learning options and derivatives, launching Q2 2027.

I’ve been trading since fifth grade and options since high school, and options have become a big part of my life. I build my own trading systems and strategies by finding a mathematical edge and backtesting it in Python. I also wrote a binomial options pricing engine with Greeks and an implied-volatility solver.
